The rapid recovery of vertical force propulsion production and postural sway after a specific fatigue protocol in female basketball athletes

Background: Muscle fatigue is characterized by decreased muscle performance, accompanied increased perceived exertion to produce a desired amount of force. The duration the effects not completely clear regarding postural sway and force production in athletes. Methods: Twenty female basketball athletes participated this study. Specific action composed protocol circuit format with gradual increment laps. They stood upright one-leg posture on plate. For maximum propulsion (FMAX), they performed countermovement jump center pressure (COP) FMAX were obtained at baseline, immediately after exhaustion due protocol, every minute during first 10 min recovery phase. Results: ∼by 9.5% whereas de COP area 224%. During phase, returned baseline values five minutes. Conclusion: minutes represents time interval where are still present. Future studies willing investigate should perform analysis within short window.
